Welcome to Northeast Baptist Church 2026 Winter Thrive program. We are delighted you are joining us for these exciting classes. Below please find the list of this Fall's Classes.
Eschatology
Teacher: Steve Byas —
Eschatology is the "Study of Last Things".
Eschatology is the Theological term for what is going to happen in the future: the literal, bodily return of Jesus Christ to our earth, Heaven, Hell, and the Eternal State. In this class, we will examine the four orthodox views about the Second Coming of Christ, as well a look at heretical deviations from these four views. Hopefully, this increased knowledge of our future as Christians will inspire to a closer relationship with Christ in our present life. Steve Byas is a Sunday School teacher at Northeast where he has served as a deacon. He teaches history at Randall University in Moore.
Connection Point for New Members
Teacher: Pastor Ed Sasnett
This is a six-week orientation class providing everything you want to know about Northeast’s mission and ministry opportunities! Class also includes a MasterLife study (workbook provided free) to help you develop six biblical disciplines for a lifelong, obedient relationship with Christ. Class sessions will be an invaluable tool to deepen your understanding of the study concepts.
James A Study for Women
Teachers: Amy Spear
In this weekly Thrive study over the book of James, we will learn practical, honest, and relevant wisdom to put our Faith in Action. Together, we’ll walk through James and discover how to live our everyday lives with confidence and clarity as we walk out our faith. This study is for women who want more than information—they want transformation as they learn to trust God, grow in wisdom, and put their faith into action. Join me as we discover how to be women of faith and action.
The Disciple - Making Father
Teacher: Brady Neal
A 4-Week Study for Fathers and Mentors
Scripture assigns the primary responsibility for your son's spiritual formation to you, not to the church. They may support, but they cannot replace.
This four-week study prepares you to take up that calling. You'll examine your own heart, learn practical skills for discipleship, and prepare to walk your son through the Twelve Marks program: a year-long journey through twelve-character disciplines that define biblical manhood.
Whether you're a biological father, grandfather, uncle, or mentor stepping in for a fatherless boy, this study is for you. What makes a father is not biology alone, but covenant, presence, and intentional investment.
You are not called to be an expert. You are called to be faithful.
How Did the Bible Happen?
Teacher: John Wright
12:TWO STUDENT MINISTRIES:
Teachers: Caleb & Janae Hofeld
For the girls: The gospel on the ground study unpacks the life of the early church in the book of Acts and shows teens that the kingdom of God is always on the move, always looking outward to bring meaning and joy to a world searching for true fulfillment and hope. In this study, students will study the call of Jesus to His disciples then and to us today. They will see how God's Word can sustain them even in the most difficult of times and embrace the transformative grace they experience as children of God in His kingdom of celebration.
For the boys: Debating the Bible. We will dive in and learn how to research topics with the Bible and how to build a solid case for debating different topics surrounding the Bible.
